DIY METALLIC GOLD HORSE
I have been completely obsessed with gold metallics lately. I want to make everything gold. This very quick, very easy DIY project was a no brainer after I had brought home the gold paint from the craft store. All you need is a paint brush, gold metallic acrylic paint, and whatever little plastic figurine you want to paint. Apply one coat of paint and make sure you get paint in all the nooks and crannies, painting the face and mane of the horse was the hardest part. After that dries for a few hours, paint on a second coat. For the second coat I was a little more careful at noticing which way my brush strokes went so it would look smooth on the main part of the horse's body. After that second coat dries, viola! You have a pretty little metallic gold figurine.
Somebody else wanted to be a part of that before picture. I really want to create a little cluster of gold metallic things. Tiny things. I think they would be so cute in a little display or arranged on a bookcase. Don't tell hubby I've been scouting the house for things to paint in gold, that'll be our little secret.
