meet the girl behind the blog: daydream frenzy

Today we have the lovely Rachel from Daydream Frenzy here to share with you all a little Q&A session we had. You will absolutely love Rachel's style and her sweet personality, including her love for Harry Potter and facination with wrinkly dogs. One of my favorite things about her blog is her bucket list that always leaves me with a 'conquer the world' feeling. I know you all will enjoy getting to know her here and make sure to check out her blog and leave her some love!

You’re from Texas!  I’ve always wanted to visit there.  What’s your favorite thing about living in Austin?
There are so many things to love about Austin, but my favorite thing would have to be the food. Most of the restaurants and eateries in Austin are local only, so the food is unique, authentic, and made with care. You won't see as many "chain restaurants" here as you would in other places. There are also tons of food trucks downtown which are very popular with Austinites because it's cheap, fast, made to order, and delicious. Now I'm hungry... haha!

What was your inspiration in writing the Bucket List on your blog?  What’s been one of the most memorable things you crossed off that list?
Definitely visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! As most twenty-something-year-olds, I grew up with Harry Potter. So when I found out that they were creating an entire section of a theme park based off of it, I freaked out! I thought it would be years upon years until I would finally get to go, but my mom ended up having to do business in Orlando so I jumped on the opportunity to tag along right away! It was so much fun; I already can't wait to go back!

How would you describe your style?
My style is all over the place since I'm constantly wanting to try new trends,
but I guess a general description could be told as "girly and vibrant with a quirky edge."
I love to wear different colors in one outfit, and my go-to style is mixing prints.

You’re a college student, so I know you’re busy, but what’s a normal weekend like for you?
I try to spend my weekends doing things around Austin I've never done before. Austin has a lot of festivals throughout the year and my university puts on events almost every weekend, so I try to take advantage of that since I may not get to live here in the future. My boyfriend drives up to see me every weekend, so we like to chill, watch a movie, and try out new places to eat. I also hang out with a few of my best friends from high school who also came to the same college as me; we'll have boardgame nights, movie nights, or go out for late-night pancakes and ice cream. Yum!

How did you come up with the name for your blog?
After discovering the fashion blog world, I would constantly daydream about all the various outfits I wanted to put together and all the different trends I couldn't wait to try. So basically, my blog is a collection (or "frenzy" wink wink) of all that. I also wanted a name that I could grow with and that I could relate to other things besides fashion which is why I also blog about my life, experiences, recipes, and everything in between.

You just celebrated 2 year with your guy (woot woot!), what’s been your favorite date so far?
Aw, thanks! One of Trae and I's favorite things to do together is go to concerts. We've seen Jack Johnson, G Love & Special Sauce, Incubus, and Young the Giant among a lot of local bands around Austin. We're even going to see Foster the People this June! But the most notable concert he ever took me to was Lady Gaga. I had been dropping hints that I wanted to see her for the longest time, but I never thought we would actually be able to go since tickets are so expensive. Regardless, he got us tickets as a birthday present and I was so excited! He told me we would be in the nosebleed seats, but I didn't care. Then when we get there, ushers checked our tickets and led us to the general area right by the stage! Trae had tricked me! It was the most awesome shock ever, and the concert was the best show I had ever seen. He isn't that big a Lady Gaga fan, but just knowing that he did all of this for me was so sweet. That was the date I had the most fun on. :)

Don't forget to check out her lovely blog!
