black and white summer

I can't believe we are already into the seventh month of the year.  Time is flying by and I just want to reach out and make it slow down.  Way down.  We've been taking on project after project from helping with church events, to photographing weddings and high school seniors, to tackling a ton of house projects here at home.  My list keeps growing.  For every item on my list marked complete, I add two more things.  Some days it feels stressful and other days it's completely blissful.  I'm finally at a point where I have been able to choose things to do with a purpose and cut out the things that don't seem to matter as much (like new levels of Facebook games).  I still need to work on getting my priorities in line, it's a work in progress.  Philippians 6:1 says "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."  So I know that my self is a work in progress.  God is not finished with me yet and He will continue shaping me until the return of Christ.  The person I am supposed to be is being molded each day, and every good thing added to my being is making up the person I have and will become.  I haven't been able to deal with that in the past, but I'm more okay with that now.  Every day one step closer.
