Friend, I want to tell you today that there is room for you. The things you have to say are important. The things you do matter. You have value to give to this world. God created you with a purpose in mind. He mapped out an entire plan for your life before you were ever born. (Jeremiah 1:5) You matter and you can make a difference in this world.
Sometimes we get caught up in thinking that our voice will just get lost in the sea of all the voices trying to be heard. We think everything we have to say has already been said. We think everything we can do has either already been done or can be done better. Friend, that is so wrong. Each of us has been equipped with a unique set of experiences and personality traits. We always have value to share and always have our own unique expression of it.
In this world, there are more books than you could ever read. There are more movies than you could ever watch. There are more clothes than you could ever buy and more restaurants than you could ever try. So much has been created in this world already and more things are being created every single day. It’s impossible for one human to consume everything this world has to offer. So, something has been said before? Not everyone has heard it. So, your idea has already been put to action by someone else? Not everyone will resonate with that.
You are a unique person and you will always have something to bring to this world. There is room for you. Room for your thoughts, ideas, and actions. On average, people have to hear/see/experience something seven times before retaining it, or making the decision to accept it. Maybe you reach someone at the second time, or maybe you reach them at the seventh. Each one matters because without the first through sixth times of hearing something, the person would not be able to retain it at number seven.
So everything you have to say is worth it. You have something to contribute to this world. If God has laid something on your heart to share, share it. Friend, there is room for you. There is room for each of us in this world, in God’s love, and in salvation. There is room.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8
